About the position

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations at a multi-family property in Arlington, Texas. This role involves performing various repair tasks, managing maintenance requests, and ensuring units are ready for new tenants. The technician will work closely with the Property Manager and must possess strong customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Check online app and calls for requests
• Respond and schedule repairs in a timely manner
• Perform HVAC repairs, cleaning, part replacement, and preventative maintenance
• Conduct plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.)
• Carry out carpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.)
• Perform drywall/plaster repairs and painting
• Handle electrical and appliance repairs (lighting, wiring, circuits, replacing switches, appliance repair, etc.)
• Send updates to the supervisor
• Document all repairs and keep detailed notes of work performed, material costs, etc.
• Prepare units for new tenant move-in (Make Ready)
• Communicate with residents, supervisor, staff, and vendors in a professional manner

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of three years of experience as a maintenance technician
• Valid driver's license or access to immediate transportation
• Basic computer knowledge and smartphone operation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook email and/or other email software
