About the position

The position involves providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). The role requires excellent communication skills to support both local and remote users, including VIP and VVIP customers. The candidate will work with Active Directory and Exchange, troubleshoot various devices, and assist in the installation and configuration of workstations, primarily focusing on Windows 10 and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating and interfacing with customers and Leidos Site Lead on issues and daily tasking.
  • Providing Tier 1 and 2 support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely.
  • Working with Active Directory and Exchange to create, modify, and terminate accounts.
  • Troubleshooting workstation, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Imaging, installing, and configuring workstations.
  • Troubleshooting Windows 10 and above, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working with automated Help Desk tools such as Microsoft System Center and ServiceNow.
  • Troubleshooting Citrix desktop visualization environment and thin client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI.

Nice-to-haves

  • DHS or other government contract experience.
  • Experience working with Secureview.
  • Understanding of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS).
  • Comfortable discussing technical information with users and other support personnel.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and IT concepts.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as an integral member of a team.
