The Onsite Virtual Nurse position at MercyOne involves delivering patient care through remote bedside nursing from the Virtual Command Center (VCC) located in the Medical Center. Responsibilities

• Provide patients with virtual health assessments and treatment solutions from the Virtual Command Center.
• Create, implement, and monitor care plans in collaboration with other care teams.
• Utilize technology such as video conferencing and electronic charting effectively.
• Think and act quickly in emergency scenarios and coordinate resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited Nursing Program or currently enrolled in a program.
• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Iowa.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certified within six weeks of hire.
• Minimum of eight years in clinical focus area required.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in nursing as Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) preferred.
• Master's degree in nursing as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) accepted.
