About the position

The Engineering Co-op position at Haleon is a critical role within the OPEX Team, focused on executing Continuous Improvement Plans to enhance growth and profitability at the manufacturing site in St. Louis, MO. This role offers co-op students the opportunity to engage in various engineering disciplines, including project management, automation, and process engineering, while contributing to significant projects that impact everyday health.

Responsibilities

• Manage F4G projects
• Manage waste reduction program
• Optimize and maintain HAPS tools for site usage
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for on-the-job training on the HAPS system
• Participate in kaizen events to support site results
• Implement Digital systems for OEE Loss data collection and Tier Meeting information flow.

Requirements

• Industrial Engineering Degree and/or 3+ years of experience in data collection & systems in a Manufacturing environment
• 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
• Track record of achievement and leadership in work and/or extracurricular activities
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Evidence of leadership and teamwork skills
• Good Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Above average attention-to-detail skills
• Active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a degree program.

Nice-to-haves

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• 3+ years in Manufacturing Environment
• 1+ years in FMCG industry
• OPEX SME - Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma concepts
• Consumer Orientated/External perspective - Manufacturing background with experience in FMCG Operations.
