About the position
The Ohio State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Pharmacology within the College of Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative environment and will be expected to have a strong research program in biochemistry, pharmacology, or molecular genetics/genomics, complementing existing departmental strengths. This position is open to candidates at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, and requires a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in biochemistry, pharmacology, or molecular genetics/genomics.
- Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in relevant fields.
- Mentor students and junior faculty members.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in biochemistry, pharmacology, molecular genetics, or a related field.
- Postdoctoral research experience.
- Proven record of research accomplishments in biochemistry or molecular biology.
- Strong publication record in relevant scientific literature.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in RNA biology, chromosome biology, or structural biology.
- Familiarity with neurological disorders and metabolism research.
