About the position

Boise State University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or full Professor to engage in cutting-edge research, outreach, instruction, and mentorship. The role focuses on integrated circuit design and offers opportunities for collaboration with industry leaders, particularly through the Institute for Microelectronics Education and Research. The position aims to support the development of an IC design center and involves working on various applications in advanced memory, cybersecurity, novel computing architectures, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in integrated circuit design.
  • Mentor and instruct students in electrical and computer engineering.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders, particularly in microelectronics.
  • Support the development of an IC design center for research and education.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote the department and its programs.

Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
  • Experience with chip design, validation, and tapeout using foundry nodes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with design automation.
  • Experience in advanced memory, cybersecurity, novel computing architectures, image sensors, RFIC, or biomedical engineering.
