About the position

The O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Bloomington is seeking applications for a tenure-track/tenured open rank faculty position in Arts Administration and Cultural Affairs. Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in arts administration and cultural affairs.

  • Advise doctoral students and contribute to their academic development.
  • Collaborate with faculty at the Center for Cultural Affairs to advance research in arts and culture.
  • Engage with a diverse student and faculty community, enhancing programs and curricular offerings.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in economics, sociology, political science, public administration, public affairs, public policy, urban planning, arts administration, or related fields.
  • Strong research background with the ability to secure external funding.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Research experience in non-U.S. or comparative contexts.
  • Experience with cultural entrepreneurship and artist labor markets.
