About the position

The Open Rank Faculty/Scientist position at Tufts University focuses on addressing health disparities among racially and ethnically marginalized older populations, with a particular emphasis on women's health. Responsibilities

  • Foster collaborative and interdisciplinary research on health outcomes for marginalized groups.
  • Engage in teaching and community engagement efforts centered on health disparities.
  • Mentor CCTS cohorts to advance innovative approaches to health disparities.
  • Conduct research on health disparities affecting racially and ethnically marginalized populations, particularly in aging and chronic disease contexts.
  • Investigate women's health inequities and their intersection with race and ethnicity.
  • Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyze datasets for tailored interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to generate impactful solutions to health disparities.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field for Assistant Professor applicants.
  • An established record of funded research and scholarly achievement for Associate or Full Professor applicants.
  • Strong potential to develop an independent research program and secure extramural funding.
  • Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in research, teaching, and service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in precision medicine and its application to health disparities.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence methodologies in health research.
