About the position
Northeastern University is seeking applications for two tenure-track positions in public health technology, starting in the academic year 2025-2026. One position focuses on network science and public health, while the other emphasizes AI, data science, or health informatics in public health. Candidates at any academic rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Develop vigorous research programs in network science or AI and public health technology.
- Attract external funding for independent research programs.
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses.
- Oversee students and postdoctoral researchers in their area of research.
- Participate in service to the department, university, and discipline.
Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Biology, Public Health, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related fields by the appointment start date.
- Strong record of scholarly accomplishment demonstrating the ability to build a strong research program.
- For Associate or Full Professor levels, substantial research productivity and established history of grant support and academic service are required.
- Minimum of 5 years of academic or related industry experience for Associate Professor rank.
