About the position
The University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking musculoskeletal physiatrists to join the Division of Sports & Spine. This full-time position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank on the Clinical Practice Track, with specific rank determined by experience and qualifications. The role emphasizes providing high-quality patient-centered care in an outpatient setting, focusing on sports and spine medicine, and includes teaching, research, and service responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care in spine, sports, and general musculoskeletal medicine.
- Perform procedures including lumbar spinal injections.
- Collaborate with treatment team members, including the surgical spine team.
- Engage in teaching, research, and service as part of the Clinical Practice track.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
- Eligibility for full medical licensure in the state of Washington.
- Board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Successful completion of fellowship training in sports medicine or spine by the appointment start date.
- Completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) for foreign medical graduates.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching and mentoring junior faculty.
- Research experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Benefits
- Base salary range for Assistant Professor: $180,000 - $247,175 annually.
- Base salary range for Associate Professor: $224,400 - $293,760 annually.
- Base salary range for Professor: $282,000 - $328,032 annually.
- Paid time off equivalent to one month for faculty with 12-month service periods.
