About the position
The University of California, Riverside, is seeking applications for three open rank Professors of Teaching in the Department of Economics, starting July 1, 2025. This role emphasizes excellence in teaching and instruction-related activities, with responsibilities for undergraduate courses and potential involvement in a future master's program in Economics. Candidates can apply for tenure-track positions at the Assistant level or tenured positions at the Associate or Full level, depending on their qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate introductory and advanced courses in Economics.
- Engage in university and public service activities.
- Contribute to research in economics or education, and/or pedagogical contributions.
- Mentor undergraduate students and support their academic development.
Requirements
- For Assistant Professor: ABD at the time of application and PhD by appointment date.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality and innovative teaching.
- Strong potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and contributions to research or pedagogy.
- For Associate or Full Professor: PhD in Economics or closely related field at the time of application.
- Proven track record of maintained excellence in teaching and professional achievement.
