About the position

The Open Records Specialist at Becker & Company is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and investigative tasks related to national insurance claim assignments. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule after an introductory period and requires a detail-oriented individual to manage open records research and retrieval effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Research, request, and retrieve open records from various sources, including police departments and government entities.
  • Conduct phone canvassing of businesses and departments to gather and verify essential information.
  • Assist in obtaining online documents, public reports, and other necessary materials to support investigations.
  • Obtain statements from relevant parties, such as police officers, as required.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) when new department-specific information is identified.
