About the position

IBM Z and LinuxONE organization is looking for a technical product manager to drive the growth of the RH OpenShift portfolio. An ideal candidate would be an entrepreneurial, adaptable, analytical, persuasive, empathetic, tenacious, and creative problem solver, who is well versed in both business and technology concepts. We are specifically looking for candidates with substantial exposure to Hybrid Cloud products offerings and should be able to relate to the LinuxONE and IBM Z market requirements. Technical expertise is critical to be successful in this role. Well aware of the RedHat OpenShift, OpenShift Add-ons, and AI. Appetite to learn Hybrid Cloud Architecture setup deployments. We're looking for a Product Manager who will own the RedHat OpenShift AI and OpenShift Add-ons roadmap and provide clarity to the development teams on the overall product priorities and finding innovative ways to attract new customers, retain existing ones, and increase customer lifetime value. Expertise in developing a seamless self-service funnel from acquisition through to monetization is essential. You'll work with OpenShift Product Management teams across IBM and RH to work on the Roadmap. Collaborate with the IBM SMEs and experts and other cross-functional stakeholders across OpenShift teams to enable the products on LinuxONE platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the RedHat OpenShift AI and OpenShift Add-ons roadmap.
• Provide clarity to the development teams on overall product priorities.
• Find innovative ways to attract new customers, retain existing ones, and increase customer lifetime value.
• Develop a seamless self-service funnel from acquisition through to monetization.
• Work with OpenShift Product Management teams across IBM and RH on the Roadmap.
• Collaborate with IBM SMEs and experts and other cross-functional stakeholders across OpenShift teams.
• Drive the adoption of OpenShift on IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE platform.
• Prioritize roadmap features and spearhead the definition and delivery of new and differentiated capabilities.
• Innovate with established and emerging technology software, hardware, and services.
• Act as change agents and champion strategic initiatives and partnerships.
• Work collaboratively with development leaders, product architects, product designers, and key clients.
• Establish goals and review metrics to plan and deliver success.
• Drive business review on a regular cadence.
• Work with clients, offering management, and sales leadership to understand and track the health and adoption of services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of either Product Management or Product Development experience.
• Experience with researching, developing, and managing the lifecycle of offerings on IBM Systems.
• Exposure to Cloud technologies, OpenShift K8S runtimes engine, Cloud Native Application Development tools, DevSecOps, ITOps, IT Automation, Enterprise Platforms, Open source, Data science, and Database management technologies.
• On-Prem Product Development and Deployment experience is a plus.
• Expertise in Analytics, including defining and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Comfort with making tough decisions and the agility to act swiftly.

• Experience using tools such as Aha!, Jira, Github, and Mural.
• Experience with 'Design thinking' and building highly engaging and intuitive software.
