About the position

The Open Source Intelligence Analyst at SMI Aware is responsible for creating detailed reports using proprietary software and web-based tools. This role involves searching social media and conducting advanced queries to gather and analyze information about individuals and companies, supporting legal professionals in investigations and litigation.

Responsibilities

• Create reports using SMI Aware's proprietary software application and other web-based tools.
• Search social media and conduct advanced search engine queries.
• Filter results and write analytical summaries of findings.
• Utilize open-source intelligence to find information about individuals and companies.
• Meet project timelines reliably.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Criminology, etc.) or industry-specific certification preferred.
• Advanced understanding of social media and open-source intelligence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of Boolean search engine queries and advanced search settings on social media platforms.
• Advanced writing and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and/or French (reading and writing) is a plus.
• Adaptability to learn new skills and software.
