About the position

Seerist is seeking an Open-Source Investigations Analyst to join their Collections team. This role focuses on researching and analyzing sources related to political, security, and operational risks, contributing to investigations into misinformation networks, and producing analytical reports for clients. The position is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and obtain access to online media sources relevant to Seerist's customer base.
  • Analyze misinformation sources and networks, assessing their influence on the information and security environments.
  • Maintain understanding of the changing ways mainstream and alternative social media platforms are used.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining analytical products on security and geopolitical risk.
  • Work with Customer Success and New Business teams to support Seerist's growth.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in security risk analysis or open-source investigations for security risk management.
  • Strong experience producing written security analysis reports with a focus on clarity, precision, and actionable insights.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to make informed assessments when information is incomplete or uncertain.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of geopolitical issues, with the ability to connect this to source collection.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to the needs of users in a small company.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in an additional language beyond English.
  • Experience working with Product, Development and Data Science teams.
  • Experience in a Due Diligence or Corporate Investigations role.
  • Experience in journalism.
