About the position
The Transportation Coordinator at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) is a public-facing role responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the transit program, including the campus shuttle service and sustainable parking alternatives. This position requires effective communication with various stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple tasks related to parking and transit services.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, coordinate, and report on the routine UNO campus shuttle service and its contracted vendor.
- Communicate service routes and schedules, and any changes in service, in a timely manner using social media and other information outlets.
- Perform periodic on-site inspections of shelters, stops, signage, and shuttles for cleanliness and functionality.
- Monitor and report on sustainable parking and transit alternatives, including bicycle racks and e-bike options.
- Facilitate non-routine parking arrangements for events and visitors, including communication with parking staff.
- Monitor and report on electric vehicle charging stations on campus.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in customer service operations.
- Two years of experience in the parking and transit industry.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Benefits
- Hourly pay of $22.50
- Full-time position with a 100% FTE
- Work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
