About the position

The General Manager at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville West End will oversee the operations of a new hotel set to open in May 2025. This role involves managing a team, ensuring high standards of hospitality, and maintaining guest satisfaction while upholding the company's mission of creating lasting memories for guests. The General Manager will be supported by an experienced management team and will play a crucial role in the hotel's pre-opening phase.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure high standards of hospitality.
  • Manage budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and organization.
  • Inspire and hold the team accountable to deliver exceptional service.
  • Create and monitor staff schedules to maintain proper coverage.
  • Participate in the creation of budgets and meet revenue/expense targets.
  • Maintain quality and guest satisfaction scores, responding to guest reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales on group and corporate leads.
  • Work with Revenue Managers to align pricing strategies for success.
  • Order pre-opening hotel supplies and manage inventory.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a General Manager at a major branded hotel (IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham, Choice).
  • Strong guest service skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent motivation, time management, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IHG hotels and/or Holiday Inn Express.
  • Connections to the Nashville hospitality and business community.
  • Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Business is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
