About the position

This position is for a UW-Madison music student to record a popular song in an opera style for a YouTube series called The Mold Show. The project aims to infuse creativity and fun into a typically dry topic, and the singer will contribute by providing an engaging performance that will be dubbed over an actor's lip-syncing. There is potential for a live performance opportunity if the project is accepted at a university event.

Responsibilities

• Record a popular song in an opera style remotely.
• Submit a digital recording of 2 lines of Beer Barrel Polka for audition.
• Possibly perform live at a university event if selected.

Requirements

• Must be a UW-Madison music student.
• Ability to sing opera, preferably in a low pitch.
• Personality and sense of humor to engage the audience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with remote recording using high-quality equipment.
• Interest in performing live in front of a crowd.
