About the position

Goldbelt Apex is seeking an Operating Room Central Materiel Services Instructor who will serve as the subject matter expert and primary instructor for operations related to the Operating Room (OR) and Central Materiel Services (CMS). This role involves training end users on biomedical equipment, essential OR and CMS skills, and various computer-based programs. The instructor will also develop training scenarios and hold responsibilities for equipment management within the OR and CMS sections.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert and primary instructor for OR and CMS section operations.
• Conduct end user level biomedical equipment training for OR and CMS.
• Instruct essential OR and CMS skills.
• Teach OHIT and other computer-based programs related to OR and CMS.
• Instruct on 2D/3D computer design software (e.g., AutoDise) for DEPMEDS and OR/CMS setup planning.
• Teach core DEPMEDS courses.
• Act as site faculty and primary instructor for BLS, ALS, and PALS courses.
• Collaborate with clinical training manager to develop training scenarios for customer units on OR and CMS operations.
• Serve as sub hand receipt holder and manage equipment assigned to OR and CMS sections.

Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years of recent experience with the military as a Commissioned or Non-Commissioned Officer (E-5 or above) in a Role 2, 3 or 4 medical treatment facility as a 68D, 66E or sister service equivalent.
• Shall obtain rough terrain forklift license within 90 days of hire.
• Shall possess or obtain BLS instructor certification within 180 days of hire.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
