About the position
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This role involves managing patient care before, during, and after surgery, primarily within the operating suite. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, develop skills in a fast-paced setting, and provide essential pre- and post-operative education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment
- Monitor patient status during surgery
- Assist in surgeries as necessary
- Provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and their families
- Maintain a safe and clean operating room environment
- Monitor anesthesia during procedures
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in a specialty OR environment
- Active RN license
