About the position
The Operating Room Nurse position at a Level I Trauma Center in Billings, MT, is designed for highly experienced nursing professionals specializing in orthopedic and neuro surgeries. The role involves working in a dynamic operating room environment, providing critical care during surgical procedures, and collaborating with a skilled surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the operating room for orthopedic and neuro surgeries.
- Assist in advanced surgical procedures, including vascular surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years of nursing experience required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- 5 years of prior OR RN experience required.
- Experience in orthopedic and neuro surgeries is critical, with a minimum of 3/4 cases in these areas.
- Vascular experience is required, including specific procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair and carotid endarterectomy.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is preferred.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
