About the position

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for an Operation Maintenance Scheduler to support our government customer located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position involves obtaining and organizing all necessary information for the work being performed, balancing scheduled work orders with labor availability and skills, and maintaining a weekly schedule for all crafts. The role requires preparing requisitions in the Government System or other work order systems to ensure proper allocation of materials, parts, labor, and other charges. The scheduler will also coordinate maintenance needs with operational functions to minimize downtime and implement a maintenance strategy plan for assigned work locations. Additionally, the position involves record keeping, ensuring security clearances for contractor personnel, and supporting excellence in customer service while maintaining a clean and safe worksite.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and organizes all information required for the work being performed.
• Balances scheduled work orders with labor availability and skills; maintains and monitors backlog for adherence to industry standards.
• Prepares requisitions in the Government System or other work order system to ensure materials, parts, labor and other charges are allocated to the appropriate work order.
• Verifies all material, information, tools and labor are available prior to scheduling.
• Works with warehouse staff to control spare part usage to maximize inventory control through regular turnover.
• Coordinates maintenance needs with operational functions to minimize downtime.
• Estimates and defines requirements for total labor, materials, special tools, equipment, and skill sets for all work including complex projects.
• Implements and maintains a maintenance strategy plan for assigned work locations.
• Prepares and presents comprehensive reports with recommendations or needed changes.
• Establishes and maintains advanced work planning for capital improvement and job order contract projects.
• Participates in redundancy and contingency planning for emergency situations.
• Uses critical path methods and other planning methods to coordinate and optimize workflow.
• Maintains records and reports.
• Ensures proper security clearances are obtained for all contractor personnel as required.
• Coordinates the efforts of all contractor personnel to meet assigned goals.
• Responsible for adjusting operations and personnel to meet assigned goals.
• Maintains records for accountability and to an audit standard.
• Supports excellence in customer service and delivers excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Identifies safety concerns to Supervisor and other required stakeholders.
• Assists in maintaining accurate files and provides documentation to Government Lead when requested.
• Provides and assists with required monthly data to Supervisor for a monthly report/tracking matrix.
• Ensures all administrative functions/paperwork are accomplished on time and in the required format.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe worksite while performing job duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of (4) Years of Experience Developing and Scheduling Work, and Associates of Arts Degree in Facility Management or Construction Management, or related field, (active) CLASS C Driver's License, and Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Applications - specifically MS Excel
• or Minimum of (6) Years of Experience Developing and Scheduling Work, and High School Diploma/GED, and (active) CLASS C Driver's License, and Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Applications - specifically MS Excel
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to pass a NAC background check
