About the position
Goldwater LLC is seeking a Production Manager for its bottled water manufacturing facility in Pleasanton, Texas. This role is crucial for overseeing the daily operations of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with water bottling machinery and a strong background in beverage manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bottled water manufacturing process.
- Manage the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection molding and blow molding machines as well as other equipment used in the manufacturing line.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient production schedules and meet product quality standards.
- Monitor and optimize production performance, including process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw materials and supplies are available for production needs.
- Maintain safety and regulatory compliance standards within the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and manage product timelines, ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
- Lead a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that products meet quality specifications.
- Communicate with upper management to provide regular updates on production performance and challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, specifically in bottled water or beverage manufacturing.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining water bottling machinery, including rotary labeling, packing, blowing, and injection molding machines.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Knowledge of production safety standards and quality control practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery and production issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with automated production systems and industrial machinery maintenance.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for bottled water production (e.g., FDA, OSHA).
