As an Operation Research Engineer at TikTok, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of our global supply chain and logistics operations. Our mission is to optimize the variety and cost-saving of goods while ensuring the speed and quality of fulfillment to enhance the user experience in our global e-commerce service. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to building a smart supply chain through data analysis, machine learning, and operations research methods. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing a global logistics and warehousing network that improves operational efficiency and reduces costs. You will create a comprehensive data portrait and knowledge graph of the supply chain, encompassing various dimensions such as vendors, commodities, places of origin, inventory, production capacity, and fulfillment quality. Your work will involve establishing data-driven control and adjustment methods that enhance operational outcomes and user experience. You will also be tasked with identifying global e-commerce trends to optimize commodity supplies, forecast demand, recommend vendor stocking, and enhance production capacity. This position requires a motivated professional who can engage in business-oriented data mining and continuous algorithm iteration. You will need to be analytical to understand the e-commerce supply chain's underlying logic while being creative enough to identify improvement opportunities in warehouse layout, logistics optimization, vehicle routing, and inventory planning. The successful candidate will build optimization models and design algorithms to support decision-making processes. Strong communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with customers to understand their business challenges, present results, and partner with Operations and R&D teams throughout the engagement and implementation phases.
