About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Crypto Mining Runtime Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the continuous operation of our cryptocurrency mining hardware and software systems, performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and conducting simple repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided on job duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance and health of mining rigs and associated hardware.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all systems are running efficiently and identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues that affect mining operations.
• Conduct simple repairs on mining hardware such as replacing hash boards, power supplies, and other components.
• Work with the IT team to troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and update mining software and firmware as needed.
• Optimize mining settings and parameters for maximum performance.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and manage stock levels.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Provide regular reports on mining operations, including uptime, performance metrics, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure all mining operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Implement and adhere to best practices for hardware handling and electrical safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
