About the position

The Operational Branch Services Officer at Westamerica Bank is responsible for providing quality customer service and promoting bank services and products. This role involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and supporting sales initiatives. The officer will work under direct supervision, contributing to team success and maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 5 Points of Service to external customers.
  • Adhere to QIS standards with a minimum of 95%.
  • Make outbound service or sales calls as directed by CSM.
  • Resolve customer problems and inquiries, ensuring superior service standards.
  • Meet sales goals of $110/FTE per month on average.
  • Assist CSM with internal sales activity for new product and service referrals.
  • Provide coverage for operations and platform activities, including account paperwork.
  • Cross-sell appropriate products and services to clients and prospects.
  • Exercise sound judgment to protect Bank assets and control losses.
  • Assist CSM with audit readiness of the branch.
  • Coach and train staff as needed.
  • Support CSM with teller line coverage and schedules.
  • Process Branch Capture, certifications, and assist with cash shipments.
  • Adhere to Control Consciousness policies and procedures.
  • Complete regulatory tutorials to ensure understanding of compliance standards.
  • Meet established standards for transaction accuracy and compliance.
