About the position

The Operational Excellence Lead for Global Product Supply at Bristol-Myers Squibb is a senior leadership role responsible for architecting and deploying the Compass continuous improvement program. This position aims to standardize processes, foster a culture of problem-solving, and develop capabilities that drive significant business impact year over year. The role involves collaboration with various leaders to define performance goals, create a maturity model, and establish an agile operational excellence team to support critical business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define the program's end-state ambition in partnership with operating and functional leaders.
  • Create a maturity model to operationalize the path between current state and future state.
  • Assess and quantify the expected impact of the program through the maturity curve.
  • Drive change management to promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Define a fit-for-purpose manufacturing production system with a focus on digital enablement.
  • Establish an agile operational excellence team for business-critical programs or projects.
  • Create scalable capabilities such as training, coaching, and tools to ensure execution focus.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in Operations and related functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking capability with a focus on execution of strategic decisions.
  • Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize supply chain and generate value.
  • Exceptional executive written and oral communication skills.
  • Capability to build alignment with senior-level business partners.
  • Strong leadership capability with decision-making skills balancing speed, quality, and risk.
  • Experience in managing people and fostering continuous learning and improvement.
