About the position

The Operational Excellence Leader is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and execution of management systems aligned with the Genie Operating System. This role focuses on managing long-term strategic initiatives and annual operating plans within the Global Operations function, while also standardizing and facilitating continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and administrative environments. A key aspect of this position includes advancing Genie manufacturing technologies through automation and digitization.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the long-term vision, strategy, and execution plan for Operations in collaboration with the Operations leadership team.
  • Design, maintain, and execute the Operations Management System.
  • Lead functional assessments and identify opportunities for improvement in accordance with the Genie Operating System.
  • Standardize visual management of execution management and status of global, function-level strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure active collaboration within the Operations function to align resources and activities with company priorities.
  • Facilitate collaboration cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, IT, Engineering, Product Management, Service, and Sales global teams.
  • Align all goals, objectives, metrics, and projects to support business requirements and efficient operations.
  • Create and deliver clear and value-added reporting to the Global VP of Operations for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of departmental interactions and take responsibility through strong leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business preferred; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • Approximately 10% travel to manufacturing sites in the US, Mexico, Italy, China, and India.
  • Strong background in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and lean required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, engineering, and/or lean manufacturing, with increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to demonstrate the Terex Way Values consistently.
  • Effective leadership in both strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Experience managing and leading multi-functional, geographically diverse teams directly and via matrix management.
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, able to develop relationships across levels, geographies, and segments.
