About the position
The Operational Excellence Team Lead at Brookshire Grocery Company is responsible for executing store operation standards and procedures to ensure product quality, food safety, and inventory management. This role involves training and developing team members, managing inventory, and promoting customer service while indirectly overseeing sales and profit performance.
Responsibilities
- Execute various store operation standards and procedures to maintain product quality and safety.
- Train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work in conjunction with upper management.
- Co-manage inventory to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.
- Review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with upper management.
- Maintain and improve sales performance, cash flow, and product quality.
- Open/close the store as required and ensure a presentable shopping environment.
- Ensure safety and fiscal management of cash and monetary assets.
- Follow quality control and food safety standards across departments.
- Implement loss prevention and shrink reduction initiatives.
- Participate in effective merchandising plans to increase sales.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Intermediate knowledge of retail grocery store operations.
- Basic knowledge of SAP for reporting purposes.
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
- Manager Food Safety certification required.
- AML certification required.
- TABC/LACT certification required where applicable.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Workforce Management (WFM).
- Basic understanding of cash register and checkout policies.
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations.
