About the position

The Operational Risk and Resiliency Program Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of program and project managers to support large-scale, enterprise-wide programs that involve critical strategic capabilities and regulatory changes. This role requires effective management of multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring coordinated responses across Operational Risk and Resilience while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex change programs and facilitating stakeholder engagement across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of program and project managers in support of enterprise-wide programs.
  • Ensure a coordinated response across Operational Risk and Resilience.
  • Manage delivery through effective delegation and oversight.
  • Provide high-level assessments of program progress, risks, and issues.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure clear understanding of expectations.
  • Continuously manage program risks, issues, and escalations as needed.
  • Liaise between cross-functional stakeholders to align around common objectives.
  • Develop and hold accountable a team of program managers to manage dependencies and roadblocks.
  • Engage and supervise third-party support, including budget oversight.
  • Maintain confidentiality of correspondence and reports in a central repository.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of project management and portfolio management tools and techniques.
  • Experience in change management principles and building high-performing teams.
  • Relevant industry knowledge in financial risk, non-financial risk, regulatory, and compliance.
  • Technical skills in Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office 365 suite (advanced with Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Experience in Operational Risk or Risk Management Program Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with the 1st and 2nd line of defense and implementing controls.
  • Banking or financial services background.
