About the position

The Operational Risk Review (ORR) Analyst at U.S. Bank plays a crucial role in the implementation of the Independent Risk Review and Assessment's operational risk testing program. This position is responsible for executing testing activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws, while identifying control and process weaknesses. The Analyst collaborates with various business lines and risk management professionals to enhance the operational risk management framework across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing activities within the Independent Risk Review Assessment (IRRA) framework.
• Evaluate processes and controls to ensure effective risk management.
• Identify control and process weaknesses through design assessments and testing activities.
• Collaborate with business lines and Risk Management groups to recommend solutions for mitigating operational risks.
• Communicate testing results effectively to the ORR Lead Analyst and/or Manager.
• Respond to and escalate significant risks as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than five years of applicable experience.
• Basic or intermediate knowledge of operational and technology risk.
• Basic or intermediate Risk, Compliance, and Audit competencies.
• Solid understanding of business line operations, products, services, systems, and associated risks.
• Average process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other software packages.

Nice-to-haves

• Applicable professional certifications (CPA, CIA, etc.) are preferred.
