About the position

The company is currently seeking candidates for an entry-level position within its Operations department, specifically in the Account Coordination team based in Austin, Texas. This role presents a unique opportunity to develop a career in the operations of a global insurance brokerage and risk management firm during a period of significant expansion and transformation. As a member of the Account Coordination department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional client experiences and achieving commercial outcomes. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with client-facing colleagues and assist in the preparation and coordination of documents as clients approach their policy renewal dates. This position requires you to work closely with the client support team to ensure that all steps in the client's policy life cycle are completed accurately and on time. You will receive comprehensive training, including classroom-based, side-by-side, and on-the-job training, to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the insurance environment. This is not a sales position, and no sales targets are involved. While an insurance license is not required, candidates are encouraged to pursue licensing for their professional development. The role offers a foot in the door at a Fortune 500 company, providing exposure to various areas of the organization, senior leaders, and different aspects of Commercial Insurance. This exposure will help you expand your professional network, gain valuable knowledge, and enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the client support team to provide outstanding service to clients.
  • Assist client support team members with gathering and formatting client renewal information, presentations, proposals, and other documents required for policy renewals.
  • Work closely with supported colleagues for timeline coordination within a client's renewal process.
  • Manage and record client and carrier communications in a shared document repository to ensure timely follow-up and review by the client team.
  • Assist with the creation or maintenance of policy renewal documents and report on open items.
  • Remain current by understanding and following all Marsh compliance, professional, and transparency standards.

Requirements

  • Receiving Bachelor's Degree with a graduation date between December 2024 - June 2025.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with knowledge of basic Excel formulas and pivot tables being beneficial.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple accounts at different stages in the renewal process.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with remote client teams.
  • Exceptional time management skills to manage self-directed work while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task to ensure excellent service to clients during policy renewals.
  • Attention to detail to provide accurate information to client team partners.
  • Ability and aptitude to conduct research for additional information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the insurance brokerage and risk management industry.
  • Experience in a client-facing role or customer service.
