About the position
The Operations Accountant at Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role involves maintaining corporate accounting policies, supporting audits, and providing technical accounting expertise. The position requires collaboration and continuous improvement in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Corporate Accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
- Manage monthly close processes
- Maintain effective internal controls
- Support annual external financial statement audits and quarterly reviews
- Provide technical accounting expertise and research complex accounting issues
- Conduct monthly financial reviews and fluctuation analysis, obtaining explanations and reporting to management
- Perform monthly corporate balance sheet reconciliations
- Check work of support or earlier levels of technical or staff workers
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 3-6 years of experience in a related field
- Experience in public accounting and monthly closing preferred
- CPA preferred
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience in continuous improvement processes.
