About the position

The position supports the Project Management Team at RK Industries, LLC, focusing on plan billings and cash collection. The role involves assisting project managers with cash collections, customer billing follow-ups, retention billing forecasts, and change order management support. The individual will report to the Operations Controller and is expected to promote collaboration and communication among team members to ensure project completion with minimal disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Cash receipt follow-up
• Assist PMs with cash collections and develop relationships with customers to facilitate payments
• Follow-up with PMs on over 90-day balances
• Forecast cash collection dates for monthly billing invoices by project
• Work with PMs to ensure every project completes a monthly invoice to the customer
• Validate that all invoices are successfully booked in Textura and recorded in Viewpoint
• Determine if the customer has been billed enough to be in an 'overbilled' position
• Determine when retention should be billed to the customer
• Follow-up with PM team to ensure retentions are billed when due
• Assist PMs with change order management support
• Ensure PMs have proper support for their change orders
• Validate that all received orders are included in the project job value
• Ensure all contracts are updated in the project management file
• Assist PM Team with lien releases to ensure payments are received and subcontractors are paid properly
• Promote open communication and collaboration between all parties
• Return all phone calls in a polite and professional manner
• Complete special projects as needed

Requirements

• Accounting degree or relevant experience in accounting
• Minimum of 10 years experience
• Experience with projects and percent complete accounting
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in accounts receivable follow-up
• Pleasant but firm demeanor for working with customers
