About the position
The Operations Analysis Engineer at BAE Systems is responsible for developing and analyzing advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems. This role involves working on threat analysis, mission effectiveness, and creating operational analysis models to support military air operations. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce data products that communicate results to customers, ensuring the effectiveness of Electronic Warfare systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform threat analysis and mission effectiveness assessments.
- Develop scenarios for injection into target hardware.
- Feed hardware performance test results back into mission analysis.
- Produce end-to-end fighter engagement analysis.
- Visually communicate study results in an operational context.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience, 6 years with a Master's, or 4 years with a PhD.
- Possess an Active Secret Clearance.
- Prior experience with mission-level effects and analysis, including DT/OT&E and military intelligence.
- Strong understanding of military air operations planning and analysis.
- Knowledge of aircraft survivability analysis and threat avoidance metrics.
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to adapt to new tools.
- Demonstrate RF concepts including antenna patterns and jamming.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with mission-level simulation tools such as AFSIM, DIADS, and/or NGTS.
- Proficient with Matlab.
