About the position

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Quality Assurance team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of data management processes within our organization. The successful candidate will assist in managing and distributing tasks among team members, providing supervision and support to junior staff, and participating in decision-making and goal-setting for the team. This role requires a strong focus on data management, analysis, and quality assurance, as well as effective communication with internal clients to address data discrepancies and project statuses. In the realm of data management, the candidate will lead the transformation of Excel data to fit pre-defined templates, ensuring accurate data entry and interaction with automated functions. The role involves identifying data quality issues, validating tasks performed by team members, and managing a queue of data management tasks with prompt delivery. The candidate will also summarize results of ETL data activities, conduct financial analysis, and perform desk audits of cost reports to validate data against supporting documentation. The ability to create visualizations and ad hoc reports is essential for this position. Quality assurance is a key component of this role, requiring the candidate to perform multiple levels of quality control on various data sources and collaborate with colleagues to complete necessary reviews. The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking data received for projects and completing quality assurance checks for assigned projects. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours, but requires the candidate to be available during set working hours and maintain a distraction-free work environment. The role may involve low to no travel, with a maximum of 10% expected for team or client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and distribution of tasks within the Quality Assurance team.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior staff members of the Quality Assurance team working on various product lines and projects.
  • Participate in the decision-making process and in goal-setting for the overall team.
  • Lead, assess, and transform Excel data to be compatible with pre-defined templates.
  • Load data into pre-defined templates and confirm correct entry and interaction with automated functions.
  • Identify and communicate data quality issues and summarize requirements for follow-up.
  • Validate data management tasks performed by other team members.
  • Manage a queue of data management tasks with prompt delivery and clear communication.
  • Summarize results of ETL data activities and report to team lead regarding results.
  • Produce reports on collected data within mandated time frames.
  • Conduct financial analysis of cost reports including trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause data investigations.
  • Gather and interpret cost and/or ratio data to identify variances and trends, create reports, and perform advanced analysis when necessary.
  • Perform 'desk audits' of cost reports, validating data submitted against supporting documentation.
  • Create visualizations, and ad hoc analytics and reports as necessary.
  • Perform multiple levels of quality control on various data sources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete necessary desk and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor and track data received for projects.
  • Complete quality assurance checks for assigned projects.
  • Communicate with internal clients about data discrepancies, missing information, needed documents, upcoming deadlines, and status.
  • Appropriately communicate with the internal team clients and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Work within a team to accomplish other duties on the project to meet necessary deadlines.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider similar experience.
  • 3-5 years of analytical work experience in an office or corporate environment required.
  • Advanced levels of Excel required.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Medicaid, Healthcare, Education, and/or customer support is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a detailed and process-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in completing tasks and in seeking guidance when needed.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and demeanor; showing initiative, enthusiasm, and strong willingness to learn.
