About The Position

The Operations Analyst will compile information to help make decisions regarding military strategy. Responsibilities will include researching and modeling military systems performance and operations; developing analytical methods and tools to facilitate analyses; executing trade studies; performing data analytics & statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings. In this role, you will coordinate data aggregation & mitigation support with the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC), industry, and academia. You will provide advanced analytical and technical support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design, or other efforts requiring military operations expertise. Your tasks will involve researching, identifying, and making recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion, as well as gathering, processing, and analyzing operational data. You will assist with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs and identify and recommend emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes. Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas is crucial. You will also be responsible for writing and updating project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials. While you may provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, this position does not involve direct people management. You will need advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations involved in supporting military operations, as well as relevant technology and equipment. Specific certifications or military education/training may be required, depending on job assignment. The ability to serve as a technical team or task leader is essential, and you will work independently under limited supervision.
