About the position

Join our dynamic Global Meeting Services team at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), where we provide comprehensive data support and services that cover markets worldwide, including the US, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific. We pride ourselves on continuous monitoring and obtaining valuable information on upcoming corporate action events, particularly shareholder meetings. These meetings delve into crucial topics such as acquisitions, mergers, and demergers, the election of directors and auditors, and shaping the future of businesses. As a team member, you will play a pivotal role in collecting and accurately inputting various meeting-related data into our database so that our clients can access the most up-to-date and reliable information. This information is the foundation for generating ISS Research and Vote Recommendations, empowering our clients to make informed decisions. Not only does the information you collect directly impact our clients, but it also serves as a valuable resource for other teams within our organization, facilitating further data collection and research. Responsibilities

  • Identifying, understanding, and implementing daily monitoring of market regulatory sources for meeting information.
  • Accurate English translation of financial and/or legal terms in Hebrew and timely creation of meeting in the ISS' proprietary database.
  • Procuring relevant meeting documentation (ex. Notice of the Meeting, Information Circular, Proxy Form, Annual Report, and other Corporate Governance documents) by monitoring stock exchange websites and contacting companies or issuers overseas by email or phone to ensure the most appropriate information is at hand.
  • Analyze agenda items and harmonize them into the ISS standard code list.
  • Collection and accurate entry of vote results for every meeting covered when disclosed as per defined market regulations.
  • Review and respond to internal enquiries related to meeting coverage for the market in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for distribution, monitoring, and update of various workloads.
  • Responsible for creation and keeping up-to-date assigned market profiles, process manuals at regular intervals.
  • Participate in various working committees and/or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Verbal and written fluency in Hebrew and English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or any equivalent/related course or an Associate's degree with two or more years of related work experience.
  • Strong communication skills with knowledge and experience in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking to solve problems independently and accurately.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment and under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work the extended hours on weekdays, holidays and on weekends as needed during market season.
  • Willing for 5-day onsite work for the first 2 months during the training period. Afterwards, should be open for a hybrid work set-up.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of corporate governance issues.
  • Verbal and written fluency in additional languages in addition to Hebrew and English.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel; SQL is a plus for specialized projects.
