About the position

Lumen is seeking an Operations Analyst II who will play a crucial role in performing basic to intermediate analysis to support business clients in identifying core business issues and mapping out potential solutions. This position is integral to developing business cases for action, which includes defining the need, method, and benefits of proposed solutions. The analyst will engage in basic analysis to contribute to the detailed requirements of solutions that address business needs effectively. The Operations Analyst II will work closely with engineers, architects, and other members of the applications development team to refine solution designs, methods, and outcomes. This role involves assisting in the identification, evaluation, and specification development for systems and procedures that are both cost-effective and meet the necessary requirements. The analyst will analyze data to identify solutions, weighing the pros and cons concerning their impact on the business. In addition, the analyst will tackle complex business problems that can be resolved through automated systems, identifying gaps and providing technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications. The role also includes scaling new and existing systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner. The analyst will configure system settings and options, plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements, and manage system migrations that specifically impact international access to Lumen systems affecting Enterprise Repair teams. Troubleshooting complex system access issues with Virtual Desktop support will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers, architects, and the applications development team to refine solution designs, methods, and outcomes.
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and developing specifications for cost-effective systems and procedures that meet requirements.
• Analyze data to identify solutions and assess their pros and cons regarding business impact.
• Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems, identifying gaps and providing technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
• Scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
• Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
• Project manage system migrations specific to international access to Lumen systems impacting Enterprise Repair teams.
• Troubleshoot complex system access issues with Virtual Desktop support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of related experience in operations analysis or a similar role.
• Expertise in MS Office Excel.
• Experience in analytics utilizing financial data.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with multiple levels of leadership.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative to ask questions.
• Strategic thinking ability to identify gaps in processes and work towards closing those gaps.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data visualization concepts, Splunk, R, Python, SQL, and structured and unstructured databases.
