The Operations Analyst II position at Lumen is designed for individuals who are eager to engage in basic to intermediate analysis while collaborating closely with business clients to identify core business issues. The role involves mapping out potential solutions that will contribute to the development of a business case for action, which includes defining the need, method, and benefits of proposed solutions. Analysts in this position will undertake basic analysis to help develop detailed requirements that satisfy business needs. This role requires working closely with engineers, architects, and other members of the applications development team to refine solution designs, methods, and outcomes. Analysts will assist in identifying, evaluating, and developing specifications for systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet the necessary requirements. They will also analyze data to identify solutions, weighing the pros and cons concerning their impact on the business. The position involves analyzing complex business problems that can be solved with automated systems, identifying gaps, and providing technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications. Analysts will also be responsible for configuring system settings and options, planning and executing unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements. Additionally, they will project manage system migrations specific to international access to Lumen systems, impacting Enterprise Repair teams, and troubleshoot complex system access issues with Virtual desktop support.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with engineers, architects, and others on the applications development team to refine the solution design, methods, and outcomes.
  • Assists in identifying, evaluating and specification development for systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet requirements.
  • Assists with analyzing data and identifying solutions along with pros and cons with respect to impact on the business.
  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems, identifies gaps, and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
  • Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
  • Project manage system migrations specific to international access to Lumen systems impacting Enterprise Repair teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex system access issues with Virtual desktop support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Expert MS Office Excel skills.
  • Experience in analytics utilizing financial data.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Takes initiative to ask questions and proactively problem solve.
  • Candidate should be a strategic thinker who can identify gaps in processes and work to close those gaps and improve the process.
