About the position

Cayuse Technologies is seeking a Junior Operations Analyst to join our team in Arlington, VA. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 to $85,490 per year. The Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting a 24/7/365 operations environment, focusing on the collection, analysis, and reporting of information vital to critical infrastructure, cyber security, and key resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging and routing time-sensitive information to the appropriate personnel or office, ensuring that all duties align with the core values of Cayuse Technologies. In this role, the Operations Analyst will engage in various complex tasks, including the collection and dissemination of information between shifts, collaboration on critical infrastructure and cyber security issues, and responding to requests for information. The analyst will monitor multiple information sources, including online media, news channels, and specific websites, to gather relevant data concerning critical infrastructures and cyber threats. Additionally, the analyst will maintain knowledge of known cyber threat actors and incidents, such as ransomware and DDoS attacks, and will be expected to produce clear, concise reports addressing critical information requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Homeland Security or Business, along with relevant experience in a military or operations environment. The position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite products. The Operations Analyst will work in a professional office environment, with shift hours varying from 8 to 12 hours, and may be required to work flexible schedules, including holidays. This position reports directly to the Program Manager and is integral to the success of our operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Collection and passing of information from one shift to the next.
  • Collaboration and sharing of information vital to critical infrastructure, cyber, and key resources.
  • Performing triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's Critical Infrastructures, Cyber, and Key Resources.
  • Evaluating current information and developing responses to critical information requirements.
  • Monitoring various information sources for updates related to CI and Cyber.
  • Maintaining knowledge of known Cyber threat actors, ransomware, and DDoS attacks.
  • Analyzing and preparing error-free reports addressing EEIs, CISA CIRs, PCIRs, and other inquiries from leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline such as Homeland Security or Business.
  • Two (2) years of experience with an Associate's Degree, or four (4) years of military and/or operations environment experience with a high school diploma.
  • Specialized experience in a 24x7 operations center focusing on cyber, emergency management, communications, or critical infrastructure.
  • Knowledge and experience in open-source monitoring and alerting, intelligence or professional report writing, and analytical research of databases and systems.
  • Experience in one or more critical infrastructure sectors or emergency management.
  • Ability to use Traffic Light Protocol (TLP) for cyber incidents.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to maintain DHS Fitness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Mission Operating Environment (MOE) system, Remedy, and ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with known cyber threat actors and ransomware variants.
