About the position

The Operations Analyst will support and manage the Business Intelligence (BI) tools and platforms at United Surgical Partners International (USPI). This role involves organizing data for reporting, facilitating communication between management and the data engineering team, and analyzing data to support business operations. The analyst will oversee the daily operations of the Data & Analytics team, focusing on project management, report development, and ensuring data availability for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and provide data to support critical business initiatives and needs.
  • Work closely with Sr. Analyst, Manager, and stakeholders to obtain project requirements and provide end-user support and training on reporting.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and solution development in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee the daily operations and development of the BI team.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team and business stakeholders to ensure data availability and provide detailed requirements for new data structures or updates.
  • Respond to and resolve IT/customer support tickets, ensuring timely responses and solutions.
  • Identify development needs to streamline and improve organizational operations for efficiency and profitability.
  • Communicate statuses in a timely manner and assist/lead in identifying data-related problems and escalations.
  • Document all processes/activities and communicate these to BI stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly reporting for all divisions as assigned.
  • Use various data and reporting applications to design, develop, and support reports, dashboards, and other BI applications.

Requirements

  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and financial acumen skills.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with executive management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across the company's operations.
  • Excellent desktop skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with BI Technologies (Power BI, Business Objects, Squirrel or similar).
  • Experience using SQL Server, BigQuery, or similar data management apps to pull data from enterprise database/data warehouse environments.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence or another analytical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, business management, information technology, or related fields.
