About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a driven, analytical, and process-oriented Operations Analyst to join the RI Operations Team. This role is crucial for the creation and processing of Reservation Product transaction requests, which include cancellations, purchases, migrations, and modifications. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working from a ticket queue and has a passion for accuracy. The position requires the ability to escalate systemic issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The candidate must also possess a current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, as this is a requirement for the role. In this position, the Operations Analyst will be responsible for processing and auditing Reservation Product transactions while adhering to Legal, Security, and Compliance requirements. The role may involve acting as an escalation point for Reservation Product requests and issues, investigating data discrepancies, and proposing appropriate solutions. Effective communication across all related channels is essential to ensure transparency of processes. Additionally, the analyst will occasionally retrieve and evaluate data using Excel and other data management or Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Responsibilities

  • Process and audit Reservation Product transactions such as cancellations, purchases, migrations, and modifications while adhering to Legal, Security, and Compliance requirements.
  • Occasionally act as escalation point for Reservation Product requests and issues.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, quickly establish root causes, and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Vocally self-critical to allow for self-correction of errors.
  • Communicate effectively across all related channels to ensure transparency of process.
  • Occasionally retrieve and evaluate data using Excel and other data management/BI systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience (e.g. Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Compliance) to include experience in Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLookups)
  • Experience working a queue of requests and meeting SLAs
  • Experience navigating a knowledge base and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Functional experience using quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Existing knowledge of AWS Reservation Products and tooling
