About the position

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team, focusing on providing ISR support to USSF acquisitions and space control communities. The role involves conducting research and providing liaison support to mission partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various intelligence communities. The Operations Analyst will be responsible for delivering analysis that supports developmental efforts and will interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a collaborative team environment. This position requires providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support to developers and managing requirements across the unit, ensuring that all operational needs are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in military planning and intelligence activities, particularly in the context of space operations. This includes tactical and operational experience in military intelligence, with a focus on electronic warfare principles and operations. The Operations Analyst will need to communicate technical approaches clearly within small project teams, facilitating team interaction and presentations. The role also demands the ability to read, write, and interpret complex documents, ensuring that all communications are precise and informative. With a minimum of 10 years of experience in all-source intelligence analysis, particularly in SIGINT analysis, the Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in unit-level intelligence support. A BA or BS degree and an active DoD security clearance are required for this position. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering leading-edge solutions for aerospace communication and mission success, contributing to the overall effectiveness of national security operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ISR support to USSF acquisitions and space control communities through research and liaison support to mission partners
  • Liaison with intelligence communities to provide analysis for developmental efforts
  • Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment
  • Provide SME level support to developers
  • Provide requirements management support across the unit

Requirements

  • Demonstrated tactical and operational experience in military (Joint or Service) planning and conducting military intelligence activities
  • Previous experience with intelligence support to space operations or planning at a Space Wing or Space Operations Center
  • Knowledge of electronic warfare (EW) principles and experience in EW planning and operations
  • Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations
  • Able to read, write, and interpret complex documents
  • 10 years' experience in all-source intelligence analysis with some emphasis in SIGINT analysis
  • Experience with unit-level intelligence support
  • BA or BS degree
  • Active DoD security clearance

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong desire to keep technical skills current and remain abreast of emerging technologies, new versions of existing solutions
  • Familiarity with various SATCOM systems & RF signals
  • Previous USAF/USSF major command (MAJCOM), HQ Air Force, combatant command (COCOM), or Joint Staff experience
  • Familiarity with AFIs/SPFIs, AFTTP 3-1s, and other references
  • Experience with acquisitions and/or software engineer development
