The Operations Analyst position at Hartford Funds is a pivotal role within the Operations team, which is responsible for overseeing transfer agency operations and service operations. This role is essential in serving as the operational liaison for key distribution partners, ensuring that the team effectively supports the transfer agency and service operations for Hartford Funds and Hartford 529 Plans. The Operations Analyst will collaborate closely with various internal departments, including compliance, legal, product, finance, fund treasury, marketing, and sales, to execute various deliverables that are crucial for both internal and external stakeholders. This position also involves project management responsibilities related to these initiatives, making it a dynamic and integral part of the team. In this role, the Operations Analyst will support the implementation of various initiatives such as new fund launches, name changes, mergers, or liquidations. They will also handle dealer or firm-initiated requests, which may include processing changes or fund additions. The analyst will prepare and coordinate regulatory and non-regulatory holder mailings and notifications to financial intermediaries in conjunction with fund changes or corporate actions. Additionally, the role includes managing the Dealer Support mailbox, which involves communication with back offices, internal stakeholders, and transfer agents. The analyst will be responsible for dealer agreement registration and maintenance, requiring a solid understanding of various agreements, terms, and fee arrangements. The Operations Analyst will also prepare monthly or ad hoc reporting as requested and submit invoices for payment related to holder mailings. This position demands a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to challenge the status quo to improve processes. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, with experience in Microsoft Copilot being a plus.
