IFC — a member of the World Bank Group — is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. We work in more than 100 countries, using our capital, expertise, and influence to create markets and opportunities. Our mission is to leverage the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet. Within IFC, the Corporate Portfolio Management (CPM) Department, under the IFC Senior Vice President of Operations, is responsible for providing corporate and strategic level reports and reviews of IFC's investment pipeline, program and portfolio, including granular data and historical and forward-looking analytics of trends, risks, and profitability. The department also provides thought leadership on how IFC can create a portfolio that balances profitability, risk, and development impact, systematically capturing lessons of experience to improve IFC's performance and outcomes, and developing portfolio systems and knowledge tools. The Reporting, Analytics & Integrity Due Diligence Research team (CPMRA) oversees the provision and update of accurate, consistent, and timely operational reports and data. CPMRA's key accountabilities include leading the design and preparation of IFC operational reports and analytical products relevant to IFC Management and the Board, developing reports, analytical tools, and dashboards that provide data-driven insights on IFC Operations, ensuring high quality, timely and efficient processes with the delivery of all reports, and supporting corporate reporting and data management initiatives. CPMRA is seeking to recruit an Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will provide analytical support related to IFC Operations, including working with colleagues in departments across IFC to help prepare various operational reports, contribute to talking points, briefs, and presentations for IFC Management and the Board, and review and respond to ad-hoc requests from colleagues across the World Bank Group. The Operations Analyst will also support Private Capital Mobilization (PCM) and Core Mobilization (CM) related reporting, analytics, presentations, and collaborate across departments to enhance reporting processes to improve efficiency and promote automation. The role involves supporting innovations in reporting and analytics, participating in working groups, and supporting knowledge sharing related to IFC Operations reporting and analytics. The candidate will be expected to support complex research and exploratory analytics by diagnosing specific problems and identifying emerging issues or trends, as well as assist with other ad-hoc assignments and requests as needed.
