About the position

Bowhead seeks an Operations Analyst to perform a variety of program support functions to the CECOM Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). The Operations Analyst will provide program analysis support to Weapon Systems Managers (WSMs) in support of Foreign Military Sales Cases. This role involves maintaining records, updating spreadsheets, trackers, and taskers, as well as pulling reports and data from DOD and FMS databases. The analyst will work collaboratively with team members and outside agencies to identify discrepancies and track down resolutions and answers. Accuracy is paramount, and the analyst will verify the accuracy of reporting information, determine what data is missing or inaccurate, and initiate and resolve reporting discrepancies. In addition, the Operations Analyst will track changes to FMS cases, summarizing significant activities for management reports. The role includes supporting tasks such as providing back-up assistance for report generation and data input, compiling source documents to support visibility and tracking of FMS case execution, and updating and maintaining internal databases and Excel spreadsheets. The analyst will also track deliverables and financial data, and develop and implement logistics program activities, including support for purchases, transfers, and leases of weapon systems, as well as technical documentation. Data entry and reporting reviews will also be part of the responsibilities, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in different types of database systems.
  • Prior DOD experience preferred.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office software suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Highly organized with the ability to see both the details and the big picture.
