About the position

As an Operations Analyst at Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS), you will play a crucial role in supporting large-scale government operations by leveraging advanced technology. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to enhance their skills and advance their careers in a dynamic business environment. You will work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) and the Special Projects Office (SPO), as well as directly with government customers, to assist in various operational tasks. The role demands a strong understanding of finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-security environment. Your responsibilities will include tracking and analyzing emerging requirements to assess their impact on the EMS Program, supporting the development of proposal responses that encompass cost, schedule, and scope for new program requirements, and maintaining a custom cost estimation tool linked to the service catalog. You will also be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support, which includes data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Collaborating with program leadership, you will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, providing insights to optimize financial performance. In addition, you will analyze transactional costing, collect and interpret large data sets, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. You will work with the Special Project lead to facilitate project execution, including resource planning, project scheduling, risk management, and reporting. Your role will also involve preparing and presenting reports and briefings to stakeholders, communicating complex information clearly, and identifying inefficiencies in current processes to propose solutions that enhance productivity and operational effectiveness. Compliance with government regulations and company policies is essential, as is maintaining accurate records of all operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze emerging and new requirements to understand the impacts to the EMS Program.
  • Support the development of proposal responses (cost, schedule, and scope) for new program requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance custom cost estimation tool with linkages to the service catalog/offerings, and the service-based cost model.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the customer, including data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with program leadership and program control to understand and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Analyze and mature transactional costing/charging.
  • Collect, organize, and interpret large data sets to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Work with the Special Project lead and program management to facilitate and support the execution of project requirements, including resource identification and planning, project scheduling, risk management and mitigation, project status and reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and present reports, briefings, and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose solutions to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with relevant government regulations, company policies, and security protocols.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all operational activities, ensuring they are readily accessible for review and audit purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a government or contractor environment is highly desirable.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
