About the position

The Operations Analyst will provide support and subject matter expertise to various test and evaluation squadrons in the planning, coordination, scheduling, analysis, execution, and reporting of operational test and evaluation programs. This role focuses on combat search and rescue operations, requiring a blend of military operations experience and technical knowledge to assist in the development of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and documentation of combat search and rescue operational tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the implementation and operation of combat search and rescue equipment and systems.
  • Draft and coordinate mission area documents for combat rescue operations.
  • Assist Test Project Managers in planning, executing, and reporting CSAR operational testing.
  • Develop combat models and simulations for test projects to optimize cost and schedule.
  • Perform safety observer duties during test and training operations.
  • Support field/ground party operations and Drop Zone and Landing Zone Operations for parachute, land, and water operations.
  • Assist with Higher Headquarters coordination efforts for testing.

Requirements

  • Must have at least five (5) years of demonstrated work and technical experience in military operations, systems acquisition, and operational support activities.
  • Experience with Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation activities on CSAR equipment, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience leading, planning, and executing complex AF Personnel Recovery Developmental and Operational test programs.
  • Knowledge of C4ISR processes related to personnel recovery operations.
  • Ability to create and deliver complex oral and written decision briefs and reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications with excellent analytical, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Physical ability to walk/hike 800 meters, climb a standard utility ladder, and lift/carry up to 30 pounds of equipment.
  • Must have a Top Secret facility clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated DT/OT experience with AF Personnel Recovery/CSAR Systems.
  • At least seven (7) years rated operational Air Force CSAR or Special Operations helicopter and/or fixed-wing aircraft employment experience.
  • Weapons Officer qualification/experience is highly desired.
  • Experience with tactical data links, tactical radios, and survival/rescue equipment used by Air Force Personnel Recovery forces.
