About the position

The Operations Analyst / Business Analyst III at Bobrick will play a crucial role in responding to enterprise software-related end-user requests for assistance. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex application and reporting issues, fulfilling ad hoc data requests independently, and coordinating with business application owners to test and resolve issues before the software is released to end users. As the principal owner of end-user support for Bobrick's enterprise software, the Business Analyst III will ensure that users receive timely support that aligns with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role will involve close collaboration with the Finance and Project Management teams to ensure that all software-related inquiries and issues are addressed efficiently. The Operations Analyst will provide comprehensive software support for the Bobrick enterprise application, which includes answering detailed operational inquiries, verifying and analyzing reported software bugs, and examining business rules and data related to report discrepancies. The analyst will also be responsible for planning and executing modifications to key system attributes, maintaining lists of software bugs and enhancements, and coordinating with end users on prioritization and scheduling. Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, translating these needs into technical specifications, and building and refining testing scripts are also key responsibilities of this role. In addition, the Operations Analyst will liaise between business units, technology teams, and support teams to identify areas for improvement in existing business processes. They will develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end users, monitor and report on risk status throughout the project lifecycle, and develop mitigation strategies to manage risks effectively. Compliance with relevant regulations and standards in business processes and solutions is essential. The analyst will independently complete special data requests by creating and using query scripts, support enterprise application permission-related requests, and assist with financial year-end close processing. Leading the annual physical inventory processing and ensuring that all steps are closely followed, along with providing ad hoc data as requested, are also part of the role. Other related duties and projects may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software support for Bobrick enterprise application including answering detailed operation inquiries.
  • Verification and analysis of reported software bugs.
  • Analysis of business rules and data involved with report discrepancies.
  • Planning and executing the modification of key system attributes.
  • Maintain software bugs and enhancement lists and priorities.
  • Coordinate with end users on priorities and scheduling.
  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Build and refine testing scripts.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are viable and scalable.
  • Liaise between the business units, technology teams, and support teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior or lead analyst role with successful project delivery.
  • Five to ten years of experience supporting enterprise manufacturing and distribution software preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as OneStream, Infor Syteline, and Smartsheet preferred.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) a plus.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
